Cobalt Motor Set-Ups

Camen Cobalt Magnet based Motors and Motor Components are available in a vast array of sizes, configurations and varieties to suit virtually every serious Racer's purposes. Camen Cobalt set-ups are available with magnet lengths from .250 through .440 and magnet heights from .316 to over .500". They are available in configurations from the classic single to to the absolute BIZARRE with possibilities ranging up to (and exceeding) 32 piece magnets. Our Cans, Endbells and Magnets are absolutely of the highest quality available and we're proud to offer the following items for your consideration

Pricing for Cobalt set-ups - regardless the motor/class type (except drag racing) - are as follows:

Single Magnet Set-ups with magnet heights .400" or lower are $150
Single magnet with magnet heights greater than .400 plus all Quad configurations = $160
Tripe Configurations plus 8 & 10mag = $175.
12 & 14 = $200
16 = $225
18 & 20 = $250
24 thru 32 = $350
**Note - add $10 to the above for Gulliver style set-ups

EuroSport Set-Ups

The Camen EuroSport/F1 Set-ups are available in any magnet configuration listed above. That includes our latest release and the talk of the Nats..... the "Gulliver Class" Motor. Our set-ups all feature the latest id & od ground .590 id cans except the "Gulliver" which is a .565" id can.

The Gulliver lowers the weight and cg of the motor and softens the torque curve while maintaining overall horsepower. The Gulliver set-ups are available in all the standard magnet configurations above and the can dimensions listed below, however, since the armature diameter is .455, it makes little sense to use a taller can/magnet combination as that defeats the cg gain but taller is available if you want it.

Congratulations to George Russell for winning the 2010 1:24 EuroSports Nats and to top qualifier Mike Stahl and to Chris Radisich for completing the podium domination with our set-ups. WELL DONE! The Gulliver technology was only released the week of the Division II Nats and was run by a group of three racers including past 1:24 EuroSport National Champion Herman James who came in 8th this year after leading until a mid race mishap ended his chance to repeat. Herman ran a Gulliver Quad with 22t25 Armature.

We offer the "Gulliver" for your consideration in all the standard configurations and now offer armatures to complete the finest EuroSport motors in the land (see below)

EuroSport Armatures

Camen is delighted to re-introduce our EuroSport Armatures in standard .250" and .300" stack lengths and with normal "PK style" commutator spacing or ultra-short for f1 etc. Standard diameters are .480 - .490 AND .455 (Gulliver Class) Other diameters available upon request. All armatures now feature our new proprietary aluminum commutator. It is an engineering marvel that will set new standards of accuracy, performance and durability.

The unique design of the Camen Endbell featuring internally machined miniature bulkheads top and bottom assure the highest strength/stiffness to weight ratio in the industry and the dimpling process increases overall surface area for improved heat dissipation. Cobalt "Strap" Cans

The Camen Strap can is available in a wide variety of configurations to include various heights, lengths and diameters. All feature edm generated blanks in .030" thickness that are hand formed on our proprietary tooling then id and od ground to exacting tolerances. This type of construction provides maximum stiffness of the strap at minimal weight and allows the selection of the very best electrical steel and the ability to orient the grain structure to optimize magnetic properties..... an ability not possible in billet can construction. This construction also allows for maximum flexibility in terms of design and dimension options and because of this, we are able to offer cans for virtually every Cobalt Motor need.
All Strap cans are available with or without windows in the strap and with or without notches on the magnet leading edge. A choice of "notch" types is also available

Camen Cobalt Magnets are available in a WIDE variety of configurations and are produced in our own shop from the very finest Cobalt Magnet Material available anywhere in the World. Multiple magnet configurations from the simplest quads to the most complex of "mega-multi's" can be purchased 'as pieces' or pre-assembled and ready to install as though they were singles..... or perhaps better yet - as complete Set-Ups as seen at the top of the page.

Among the offerings, many combinations can be devised by picking and choosing from among a variety of profiles including single magnets, quads, triples and magnet assemblies up to and exceeding 30 pieces. (In fact, there is even a 40 segment Camen motor known to exist:) We offer flat top, angle top, combo top..... you name it - we either offer it or it's just a software modification away.
